Join Us in Making a Difference!

Today, June 5, 2024, marks World Environment Day, a global event dedicated to fostering environmental awareness and encouraging action for the protection of our planet. At TS Group, we believe that every little effort counts in our collective journey toward a healthier, greener world. This year, we’re focusing on the three R’s: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

Our Commitment to the Environment
At TS Group, we are committed to contributing to a sustainable future. Our initiatives focus on reducing waste, reusing materials, and recycling whenever possible. Here’s how we can all play a part:

  • Reduce:

What it means: Use less of something or use it more efficiently to cut back on the amount of trash we generate.
How you can help: Be mindful of your resource consumption, opt for products with minimal packaging, and conserve energy by turning off unused appliances.

  • Reuse:

What it means: Find new ways to use things that otherwise would have been thrown out.
How you can help: Get creative with old items—repurpose jars as storage containers, donate old clothes, or use scrap paper for notes.

  • Recycle:

What it means: Repurpose or reprocess items to prevent waste.
How you can help: Sort your waste correctly into designated bins and ensure recyclables are clean and dry.
Waste Sorting Activity

To put our words into action, we are organizing a waste sorting activity at the HQ Level 2 pantry area. This fun and educational exercise will help us all understand the importance of proper waste classification. Here’s what you need to know:

Categories of Waste:

  • Food Waste: Organic waste such as leftovers, fruit peels, and coffee grounds.
  • Plastic Bottles, Glass Bottles, Cans: Ensure these are empty and clean before disposal.
  • Paper Waste (Dry Items): Newspapers, cardboard, and office paper.
  • General Waste: Items that cannot be recycled, such as certain types of plastic and contaminated materials.

Participate in the activity and see if you can get the waste classification correct! This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about how we can all contribute to reducing our environmental footprint.

Moving Forward
As we celebrate World Environment Day, let’s remember that our planet’s health is in our hands. Every small action contributes to a bigger impact. Let’s make a commitment to being more conscious of our daily habits and strive to incorporate the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle into our lives.

Thank you for being part of the TS Group community and for your dedication to making our world a better place.

In Celebration of International Workers’ Day: A Throwback to Empowering Migrant Workers Through Health Education

As we celebrate International Workers’ Day today, we at TS Group want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible contributions of our migrant workforce. Last year, in August 2023, we partnered with the fantastic non-profit organization, My Brother SG, to host a series of health education sessions and games at our dormitories in 11A Choa Chu Kang and Defu Industrial City.

This throwback highlights our ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of our residents. Let’s revisit this successful collaboration and dive into the impactful initiatives we implemented…

Empowering Migrant Workers Through Health Education: A TS Group & My Brother SG Collaboration

At TS Group, the health and well-being of our workers is a top priority, and that includes our valued migrant workforce.

Partnering with the incredible non-profit organization, My Brother SG , we recently held a series of health education sessions and games at our dormitories in 11A Choa Chu Kang and Defu Industrial City.

These sessions focused on key areas that can significantly impact migrant worker well-being: managing lower back pain, healthy eating habits, and incorporating regular physical activity into their routines. My Brother SG brought in expert physiotherapists and osteopaths who shared valuable knowledge on preventing and managing lower back pain, a common concern for manual laborers. Additionally, the sessions offered guidance on making healthy food choices and incorporating exercise into daily life. We also provided blood pressure and BMI screenings to help workers monitor their overall health.

The response from the workers was incredibly positive. They actively participated, eager to learn more about taking charge of their health and well-being. This collaborative effort with My Brother SG reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting our migrant workers and equipping them with the tools and resources they need to live healthy and productive lives.
